Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the day she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. After that, she attended an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in every event.
