Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush Big Time Rush, an American
pop-punk band, was founded in 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt,
James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They first signed with Nick
Records in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred them to their new label.
The group was featured in Nickelodeon's television series Big Time Rush. From
November 28, 2009 to July 25, 2013, the show aired. The pilot episode featured
the group’s debut promo single, "Big Time Rush". The group has released
three studio albums: BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011 and 24/Seven in 2013. In
2014, the band took an indefinite break that ran until 2021. The group then
resumed live shows and then released "Call It Like I See The Album".
Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush to an album deal in 2009, alongside its TV
series, Big Time Rush. In the following year, Nickelodeon partnered with
Columbia/Epic Label Group to produce the show and include the original music
that was used in the show. The series' first single, "Big Time Rush",
released on November 29 on the 29th of November. The announcement was made by
Nickelodeon in November 2009, the series was aired for the first time in the
US. It then debuted internationally. The series premiered on a one-hour special
preview of the series and is the current theme for the show's opening. Promo
singles were also released by the show, which included "City is Ours"
(with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also
performed a Play song called "Famous". It was released to iTunes on
the 29th of June, 2010, The song's second, "Halfway There", was also
released on iTunes after its debut on the series. It was their first song to be
charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 93 due to the sales of
digital music. To celebrate their debut album, Big Time Rush released
"Till I Forget about You" on September 21, 2010. The album, called
BTR it was released on October 11 on the 11th of October, 2010. It debuted at
number three on the Billboard 200. It sold the album at 67,000 copies in its first
week.
