Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe, born August 26, 2002, is an American musician and singer. The success of "Ransom," his 2019 single, helped him become a major star. The song was part of his first mixtape "We Love You Tecca" (2019), which reached the top spot on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also featured the singles "Love Me", "Did It Again" and "Did It Again". The album he released as his debut called Virgo World (2020) was released at the top of the Billboard 200 at number 10. It included the Billboard Hot 100 chart-charting songs "Dolly" as well as "When You Down". The mixtape that he followed up with We Love You Tecca 2 was released in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of Me" and others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe is an Jamaican immigrants, was born in Queens on August 26, 2002. He was born in Queens in Springfield Gardens. However, Sharpe eventually moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Since his early years, Sharpe had aspirations of being a player in the NBA, but around 12 years of age Sharpe turned his attention towards pursuing a career in music. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. Tecca was nine years of age when he started rapping over his Xbox. They would make diss tracks directed at one another that was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but was removed. At first, he didn't have plans to pursue a career in music and he envisioned becoming an NBA star. He started to consider music more seriously when the time he stopped playing basketball in middle school. The first track to become famous, "Tectri", was made by Lil Gummybear in collaboration with Lil Gummybear and released in the early part of 2017. Other preliminary tracks of his include "Callin". A year later Tecca's career started to flourish with his breakout hit single "Ransom" The track was originally uploaded on Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22 the 22nd of May, 2019. The song climbed to number 4 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The song has received over 900 million Spotify plays and more than 300 million YouTube views.
