Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's athletic talent was evident right from the day she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished her high school education and was signed to an agreement with Adidas. In the year 2004, she enrolled in her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. One year later Felix was awarded the first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking a junior world record by taking 200 metres within 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked in the top three of athletes in each of her events.
